This Privacy Policy explains how the QuestiCity mobile application ("QuestiCity", the "App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. QuestiCity is an interactive real-world city quest game featuring geolocation, QR-code scanning, AR compass navigation, collectible artifacts, and a credit-based hint and mentor system. The App is operated by Oleksandr Zharkov ("the Developer").
By downloading or using QuestiCity, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We collect only the data needed to operate the App and its gameplay features. The categories below map to Apple App Store privacy nutrition-label categories.

QuestiCity may access your location while the App is running in the background. This is used solely to support active quest gameplay, such as detecting when you arrive at a quest point even if the screen is off or the App is minimized. We request your explicit permission for background location, and you can revoke it at any time in your device settings. Disabling location will limit or prevent quest functionality.
Where data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply, we process your data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the App and its features you request), your consent (for example, for precise and background location, camera, microphone, and notifications), and our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the App). You may withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or by contacting us.
We share limited data with trusted service providers only to operate the App:
QuestiCity contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party tracking. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active. Analytics and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period consistent with our providers' standard retention settings. When you request account deletion, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, purchase records) to comply with legal obligations.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, including account and data deletion, contact us at info@questicity.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
QuestiCity is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and trusted infrastructure providers, to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at all times.
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect your data during such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of QuestiCity after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
